Oxy-meter 02 & Pulse
The Anti-Splat-Aero pulse oximeter or saturometer is our latest safety device offering, that can indirectly monitor the oxygen saturation of a pilot or passengers blood (as opposed to measuring oxygen saturation directly through a blood sample) and changes in blood volume in the skin, producing a photoplethysmograph. It is often carried in or attached to a location in your airplane where it is readily accessible to the occupants so they can test oxygenation at any time during flight at altitude. I have one attached with Velcro to the instrument panel in all my airplanes. This devise will instantly show you a need for oxygen as well as determine there is no need, thus saving oxygen and money. Our monitors also display the heart rate, are very portable and battery-operated. Our meters feature auto shut-off, this provides hundreds of hrs. battery life on two AAA alkaline batteries. A very fast reading, bright digital display, storage case, lanyard and very complete operating instructions. If you operate your aircraft at altitudes over 8’000 feet, you should have this devise in your aircraft. Because of their simplicity and speed, pulse oximeters are also very useful for occupants with respiratory or cardiac problems, especially COPD. Our blood-oxygen monitors display the percentage of arterial hemoglobin in the oxyhemoglobin configuration. Acceptable normal ranges for aircraft occupants are from 90 to 99 percent, any reading below 90 percent would indicate the need for supplemental oxygen. Values of 100 percent can also indicate the onset of carbon monoxide poisoning. Many people find they are compromised at relatively low altitudes, so at this low price, why not be sure and safe? Just one oxygen tank refill will pay for two or three of these!
