The A.S.A. “ NOSE WHEEL FAIRING PROTECTOR”.   We have made several handmade variations of various covers with different materials (fiber glass, aluminum, vinyl, canvas Etc.) in an effort to solve this sometimes-troublesome operation of removing the lower cowl without damage to fairing or surrounding real estate. Unfortunately, most were marginally successful at best, or far too expensive to manufacture. So, with all this experimentation, and several proto-types, we have the perfect, very cost-effective tool. light weight plastic extrusion, portable, simple, easy to use, works on most any nose gear fairing, its practically indestructible, and it will last the life of your airplane. No more duck-tape, trash bags, old towels, cardboard or the like taped to the nose gear to protect it when trying to remove your lower cowl. This is a godsend when you have a three-blade propeller.
