Easy Exit Bar
The “Easy Exit Bar” is
our newest specialty accessory, we developed specifically for use in the RV-A
models. After experiencing firsthand the difficulties exiting our aircraft, and
many conversations with fellow RV owners expressing their interest and
experience, we took on trying to make this task a bit less strenuous. First, we
installed handles on the roll bar to help, but this just required a difficult one-handed
chin-up. We then installed a console between the seats to push on, it helped
but still not the answer. As we get older, this getting in and out seems more
difficult all the time. When you try to use your feet, you wind up stuffing the
carpeting down under the rudder pedals, causing more work and frustration. Not
the case with our new “Easy Exit Bar”. We created several different prototypes and
tested them for ease of operation location, and effectiveness, with this current
design being the all-around top performer. This one accessory can really save
the day, and ease wear and tear on the body when exiting and entering your
cockpit. Your legs are considerably stronger than you’re arms, and are accustomed
to lifting one’s body weight as well. All that is required to use the “Easy
Exit Bar” is
pull your feet back from the rudder pedals, rest you’re heels against the bar,
and push with both legs. The bar location is in the perfect spot to provide an
easy, and speedy exit with very little effort. It feels like with a bit of Armor
All on the seats you wouldn’t need to use your hands! The product is
constructed of heat-treated, aircraft grade aluminum tube with laser cut counter
bored endplates. They’re de-burred, to eliminate sharp edges, and install between
the main gear leg weldments (only two nuts) and takes but a couple of minutes. It
is small, inexpensive, light in weight at only 12 oz. while still very strong
(tested to 650 lb.) Give the new “Easy
Exit Bar” a
try, we are certain you will love it as we do! If you don’t agree, (as with any of our tools
or products) we will take them back no questions asked.
